Just as former oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke was found not guilty of six bribery charges by a London jury on Wednesday, many legal experts have said that what transpired in London has nothing to do with investigations already concluded by the EFCC ever since she ran away from Nigeria.
Business Hilights.ng recalls that Mrs. Alison-Madueke had ran away from the country even before the swearing of former President Muhammadu Buhari out of fears of being arrested for corruption charges.
Legal analysts say there are strong indications that she may not attempt returning to Nigeria out of fear of another range of trial in Nigerian courts as the charges upon which she was tried in UK are not necessarily the same charges EFCC is going to press on her on arrival and arrest.
