…Working with Bombardier to establish aircraft maintenance centre
The Minister of Aviation, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN has averred that Nigeria now officially has the largest private jet fleet in Africa, with nearly 240 aircraft currently in operation.
According to the minister, the Federal Government is partnering with Bombardier to establish an aircraft maintenance centre in Nigeria. He said the project aims to reduce foreign exchange spent on overseas aircraft maintenance, create jobs, and strengthen the country’s aviation industry.
If completed, the facility could lower maintenance costs for operators and position Nigeria as a regional aviation maintenance hub.
