The managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman has called on port business operators and terminal concessionaires to team up in the growth of emerging Blue Economy in Nigeria.
Speaking at the ongoing12th Nigeria International Maritime Ports and Terminal Conference in Lagos, she said the Authority has continued to raise the infrastructure statuesque of Nigerian ports with flexible policies that drive ease of doing business in the last couple of years.
She said the Nigerian ports remains the gateway to the nation’s economy and as such, should be used by business operators to the fullest in contributing to the growth of the economy.
Represented by Assistant General Manager, Operations, Mr Ayodele Durowaiye, the Managing Director called on the conferees to come up with strategic port growth ideas which the Authority will look at for further improvements and policy direction going forward.
Participants are drawn from key players and stakeholders in the maritime industry.
