It was the gathering of who-is-who at the compound of Mr. and Mrs. Jude Okwidiba in Umuezena Umudim, Nnewi North, Anambra State as relations, friends and well-wishers of the President of Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Hon. Ngozi Emechebe (Nmiri-Oma Nnewi) escorted him to witness the traditional marriage of his son, Mr. Tochukwu Emechebe and his new wife, Chinemerem on August 30th, 2025.
Top dignitaries at the marriage which spanned from ASPMDA, top stakeholders at the Lagos International trade fair complex, government officials, traditional, rulers and business associates, saw the presence of former Anambra Governor and 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
In his brief counsel to the new husband and wife, Mr. Obi advised them to love each other and always work together to achieve greater goals at all times.
Also speaking, former President of Balogun Business Association (BBA) and associate of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Chief Okey Ezibe counseled the youngest Nnewi couple to always respect each other’s feelings and abide by love in managing their family affairs to limit outsiders from intervening unnecessarily.
In an interview, the father of the groom and ASPMDA President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe urged the new couple to always follow God and put God first in all their life activities because “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”.
He thanked all his invitees who honoured his invitation to come for the traditional marriage of his son from far and wide upon the harsh economic realities now, and prayed God to guide them home safely.
