In keeping with the energy to deepen the recently launched new grassroots seamless tax compliance initiative, the OCORA (One Community, One Revenue Agent) Initiative across Imo State, the Commissioner for Entrepreneurship, Skill Acquisition and Social Responsibility has paid the Executive Chairman of Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS), Mr. Justice R. Okoye.
A statement issued by the Service revealed that the meeting explored strategic ways to deepen the reach of the OCORA (One Community, One Revenue Agent) Initiative across Imo State.
Okoye revealed to Business Hilights.ng that “Our discussions focused on taking this transformative initiative beyond the urban centers and ensuring that communities in the grassroots and rural areas are fully integrated into the benefits and opportunities that OCORA provides”.
“We are committed to creating greater awareness, empowering local communities, promoting inclusion, and ensuring that every Imolite has access to a seamless and transparent revenue administration system.
He added that “The success of OCORA lies in its ability to connect directly with the people, and through collaboration with key stakeholders, we will continue to strengthen its impact across every ward, community, and local government area in the State.
“Together, we are building a more inclusive, economically vibrant, and prosperous Imo State.
