The President of Balogun Business Association (BBA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex, Chief Oscar Ikechuwku Paul Odogwu has announced the acquisition of new electricity transformers, firefighting truck, brand new Howo Compactor trucks for seamless ease of doing business in the association.
In his remarks at the commissioning of legacy projects delivered under Hon. Kenechukwu Obidigbo administration in Rivers Cluster on Friday, he rolled out some of the strategic business support and life touching legacies of his Executive Council in the last few years, revealing that his government is set to build a multi-level ultramodern car part in BBA to end the problem of parking space scarcity in the plaza.
Top in the list of the projects included the acquisition of new electricity transformers to augment existing ones, the purchase of brand new firefighting trucks to handle cases of fire and related issues both in BBA and other plazas within the complex.
Chief Odogwu also listed the purchase of new Howo Compactors for sanitation purposes and the recently concluded redesign and building of iconic entrance structures at each and every of BBA entrance including the imposing structure at the main gate.
He said the new entrance structures in BBA were freely funded by well-spirited members of BBA in form of their corporate social responsibilities (CSR) for the growth of the association.
Explaining more, he said his administration has tried its best in protecting the business interest of members especially by ways of working hard to stop whatever that will lead to the closure of the market.
He gave example of the efforts of his administration in nipping cases that will lead to closure in the bud to include the NAFDAC raid some months ago and the recent security breach at the new site.
He assured members that his government will continue to do its best in delivering dividends of democracy and projects that touches lives and ease of doing business from time to time.
On internal security, Chief Odogwu hailed the new security architecture in BBA now and noted that “Ever since the new security platform is in place, cases of burglary, shop breaking and related matters are no more”.
Chief Odogwu noted that the exploits of his Executives have raised the business values of BBA and ease of doing business in the association. He promised to continue doing more.
