…As Grimaldi announces China-Lagos 27 Day Shipping from January
The PTML Command of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has joined other commands nationwide to celebrate the 2025 International Customs Day (ICD).
This is as Grimaldi, a major shipping stakeholder at the Command has announced the resumption of direct China to Lagos shipping that will only take 27 days of high sea voyage from January 2025.
Addressing officers of the Command and industry stakeholders including clearing agents, Terminal operators, shipping companies and the media, the CAC, Comptroller Tenny Daniyan said “the theme for the 2025 ICD, ‘Customs Delivering on Its Commitments to Efficiency, Security and Prosperity’, is apt and in line with the watchword of the CG, Bashir Adeniyi in driving the Service to greater heights.
Linking the theme to the progress already recorded in the administration of B-Odogwu digital platform for Customs operations, Daniyan said “This Command is playing a piloting role in the reorganization of customs modernization project which has started recording great success”.
According t him, “Our commitment to efficiency, security and prosperity is without compromise. In attaining and sustaining this, I am pleased to inform you that under our able CGC, Bashir Adeniyi, we have prioritized stakeholders’ relationship, innovation and security to build upon our success story at this command.
He used the occasion to announce to importers that due to the excellent security super-structure at the PTM Command, NAFDAC has approved our terminal for the processing of pharmaceutical products going forward.
He assured that this year, the Command will build on celebrated two-hour clearance time and ensure port users get the best of the Command’s experience anytime they do business at the PTM Command.
