Abuja-Makurdi Toll Federal Highway
It was mixed reactions for motorists using the new Abuja-Makurdi Federal Highway as the Federa Ministry of Works has flagged off tolling on the road.
According to the Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umehi, the tolling is part of efforts to raise funds in repaying the $460m loan used for the scheme.
Explaining more, the former Governor of Ebonyi State revealed that motorists using the highway will now pay tolls ranging from N500 for saloon cars to N1,600 for multi-axle vehicles, while police and military vehicles are exempted.
