Majority of Imo taxpayers, road transport operators and tax agents have passed a vote of confidence on the newly introduced E-ticketing system by the Imo State Internal revenue Service (IIRS) under the leadership of Mr. Justice R. Okoye (FCA).
Some of them who spoke with our correspondent in parts of the State expressed satisfaction on the functionality and seamlessness of the digital innovation when compared to the old model of physical receipts.
Many of the respondents described the successful implementation of the E-ticket system for commercial transporters as superb and commendable.
According to them, whereas the physical receipt system gives room for maneuvering, abuse and human interferences, the E-Ticket system is seamless and very effective as anyone can pay through his phone and go his or her way without any form of human engagements.
Many respondents agreed that during compliance enforcement, the taskforce team does not need to stop you on highway but to just type in your car plate number on the system and find out the status of your car concerning compliance or not.
They thanked IIRS for coming up with the E-Ticketing idea.
