The acting Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Chris Najomo, has averred that going forward in 2025 and beyond, Nigerian Airspace shall remain very safe considering the level of improvements the agency has put in place.
His assurance is coming few days after the agency sanctioned Ethiopian airlines, Airpeace, Aero and two other foreign and local airlines, over violations of its regulations during Yuletide travels.
According to him, the agency says the erred air operators have unanimously agreed to compensate air passengers and meet up with other demands.
Najomo further noted that Air travellers that the Nigerian airspace will now be safer in 2025 than 2024 with the enhanced safety surveillance as it solely focusing on delivering its core-functions to meet its performance .
According to him, NCAA will not relent in tackling the issue of flight delays, cancellations and poor communications between air passengers and airlines as well as ensuring the aviation sector keeps working towards achieving the international best practices.
