As part of new drive to enable hassle-free entrance of business establishment by Italian companies to the Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA) complex, the Trade Analyst at the Italian Consulate General Office in Lagos, Mr. Alessandro Ikenna Okigbo, has met with the President of ASPMDA, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe at the ongoing West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) in a high stake partnership discussion.
Addressing Business Hilights.ng shortly after a closed door meeting with ASPMDA president, Okigbo said “Am here to discuss how my office will partner with ASPMDA management so that every interested Italian auto firm wishing to come and do business in ASPMDA can find it very seamless and hassle-free setting up and running their ventures without issues.
“Am very pleased with a lot of things he has explained to me which I will take back to my office to work on ahead of the possible investment of Italian auto manufacturing firms in Nigeria and ASPMDA in particular.
“As you know, we have a number of Italian auto spare parts manufacturers wishing to invest in Nigeria. So talking with ASPMDA today has given me a very interesting understanding of how I can advise Italian companies that are into auto spare parts.
Okigbo disclosed that his business meeting with ASPMDA President was very successful and that he will plan an official visit to ASPMDA very soon so as to get on the spot feeling of how ASPMDA looks like and works so that I can adequately advise incoming Italian businessmen.
Responding, ASPMDA President said he was very happy to hear that Italian auto investors are coming to ASPMDA for business development, saying the deal will further raise the international status of ASPMDA and also create employment for Nigerians.
