The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BtoB EVENTS, organizers of the annual West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS), Mr. Jamie Hill has hailed the contributions of Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA) in the growth and development of automotive industry and business in West Africa and Nigeria in particular.
Speaking in an exclusive media chat with the Publisher of Business Hilights.ng at the Day-2 of the 2026 WAAS Holden at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, he said “We are happy with the presence of ASPMDA at the Show and the massive contributions of the association in the seamless delivery of auto spare parts across the West African sub region.
“We are very grateful for the massive presence of ASPMDA members and their President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe here in person since day-1 till today.

“Am very amazed with his presentation today. He was able to make strategic revelation on the where the future of automotive business is heading to which is digital technology. We are also very grateful for the long standing business understanding with ASPMDA. It is awesome I must say.
“Together we have created a fantastic event which many people, not just ASPMDA or Nigerians, but attendees from across Africa are here. Our exhibitors have come from many parts of the world including African countries, Americas, EU, Middle East and Asia. We have succeeded to bring Africa’s automotive market here in Lagos.
Explaining on the outlook of 2027 WAAS in Lagos, Hill averred that “Learning from our experience this year, we have to discuss with the Landmark owners to expand the halls more next year because more and more exhibitors are coming next year.”
There is a long term plan to build a facility that will contain massive population of exhibitors at Landmark in the near future.
