President of Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Hon. Ngozi Emechebe (Nmiri Oma)
As part of its policy of excellent public health in Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex, the President has ordered total evacuation of all soak-away tanks for urinals.
Business Hilights.ng reports that the whole soak-aways serving every urinal points in the plaza were evacuated on Sunday, July 19, 2026 under the able supervision of Hon. Jonah Chigozie on the directive of the President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe.
Speaking in an interview on the soak-away evacuation on Sunday, Hon. Emechebe made it clear that “The evacuation is part of my administration’s drive to good health and environmental sanitation in the plaza.
“You can recall that last week, my government took a strategic step in removing clogs and solid waste blockages along the gutters and drainage routes serving ASPMDA and that led to the fast runoff of floods in ASPMDA.
Continuing, ASPMDA President recalled that “Even before the rainy season, my government had hired bulldozer and entered right inside DSS compound to clear the dredge the canal down to Omonile all for the safety of ASPMDA which I think, we were able to achieve.
“You are aware that it is the duty of the trade fair management to clear the canal, but we did it for the safety of ASPMDA and that to me, is proactive leadership if you ask me.
Hon. Emechebe listed the areas where the evacuated soak-aways were located inside ASPMDA to include EEC 13, Zone Z, Opposite B8, Opposite C4A, C7, Opposite Zone C Block 2, Unity Bank Opposite B17B, Central Zone C, Opposite Exodus, Opposite Sunny Plaza.
