The Chairman of Lagos International Trade Fair Stakeholders Association (LITFSA), Chief Eric Ilechukwu has announced that “Going forward, our association has resolved that we shall make out time to observe every Plaza election in the trade fair complex so as to stop cases of after election court cases.
LITFSA is the umbrella body for all the trade associations doing business at the trade fiar complex including ASPMDA, BBA, APT, ATV, Tools and Hardware, UASPDA, Mechanic Village and others.
The current Chairman of the stakeholders association is also the President of Association of Progressive Traders (APT).

Speaking to Business Hilights.ng while serving as the head of Stakeholders Observer delegation at the general election of Association of Nigerian Tyre Marketers (ANTM), owners of Africa Tyre Village (ATV) inside the complex on Thursday, he said “We are tired of court cases after every election in the complex. I don’t want to mention names of associations currently in court since after their election, but what we have done at stakeholders level is to always observe election processes to make sure that any winner followed due process.
“In fact, we took the resolution so that even if after our observation, someone goes to court, we as a body, will go to the same court to present our report of the election because we observed it from beginning to end. We believe the court will respect our observation report in passing judgment on the matter.
Chief Ilechukwu further added that every member-association in the complex all agreed to the new resolution of serving as observers at every election.
Also, the Trade Fair management board had its observer team lead by Mr. Sunday Agbola, Ngozi Okafor, Nneka Ezechikwelu.

The outgoing President of ATV, Alhaji Isah Akanbi Mohammed took time to welcome the observers and assured them that the election will be free, fair and credible.
As at the time of filing this report, the electoral committee is sorting and counting the votes while observers watch with apt interest.
