The flagbearer of the UASPDA Liberation Movement (ULM), Chief Tony Bright (Ebubechukwuzo) has won the strongly contested presidential election of the United Allied Spare Parts Dealers Association (UASPDA) in the Lagos International Trade Fair complex, with a total of 309 votes to beat his opponent of the UASPDA Devine Movement (UDM), Hon. Uzochukwu Mmaduike who pooled 208 votes.
Addressing Business Hilights.ng shortly after declaring the final results at the complex today, the UASDPA Independent Electoral Committee Chairman, Pastor Uzo Nwachukwu said “Am fulfilled on the way and manner the election has come and gone, free, fair and highly credible. As you can see, both winners and losers alike are happy because we deployed every sense of purpose and fairness from the beginning to the end.

In his acceptance speech, the President-Elect, Chief Tony Bright thanked members of the association for trusting in him and assured that he will work for the growth and progress of the association.
Earlier, the leader of the Stakeholders association election observer team and President of Mandilas United Traders Association (MUTA), Evang. Emmanuel Ezeani thanked UASPDA members for conducting themselves very well from the beginning of the election in the morning till this evening when the final result was announced. He thanked the electoral committee and the current outgoing president of UASPDA, Chief Arinze Enyibuaku for conducting a credible election worthy of emulation in the complex.
In his brief remarks after the election, President General of Ndigboamaka Progressive Markets Association (NAPMA), Hon. ComrADE Amb. Chinedu Ukatu said he was very pleased with way and manner the election was conducted and assured the new government of the cooperation of the NAPMA. He noted that “Amongst several markets elections I have observed, this is a special one because of the free, fair and credible plus very peaceful way it was conducted from the beginning to the end.

Throughout the election, there was maximum security provided by the Nigeria Police led by the Trade Fair DPO, who was in person from the beginning to the end. Also, the leader of the Trade Fair management observation team, Mr. Sunday Agboola said the election was well organized and very credible from the beginning to the end.
The Results of the 2026 UASPDA General Election in Lagos Trade Fair Complex
Hon. Tony Bright and Hon. Prince Nonso Nwanya won the president and vice together with 309 votes to beat Hon. Uzo Mmaduike and Egbuna Nelson.
General Secretary was won by Hon. Josiah Agbanusi who pooled 283 votes to beat Chris Osuike won got 234 votes.
Assistant Secretary was Hon. Ebube Amamchukwu who pooled 495 votes without any other contestant.
Treasurer was won by Chief Ifeanyi Ozodinbu who pooled 230 votes to beat Chief Jerome Egbuna who got 193 votes.
Financial Secretary was won by Hon. Aaron Enekwizu who pooled 256 votes to narrowly beat Hon. Anayo Nwanne who pooled 254 (difference of two votes).
PRO was won by Hon. Onyebuchi James who pooled 259 votes to beat Hon. Dominic Okafor who pooled 246 votes.
Provost was won by Hon. JohnNwakasi who pooled 291 votes to beat Hon. Benjamin Okenwa who pooled 210 votes.
Chief Welfare was won by Hon. Nkechi Umeh who pooled 262 voted to beat Hon. Ade Semiu Adeniyi who pooled 234 votes.

Business Hilights.ng recalls that earlier during the election, several members of the stakeholders association were on ground as observers including the chairman of Stakeholders, Chief Eric Ilechukwu, ASPMDA President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe with some of his principal officers.
Others present included Vice President of Africa Tyre Village, Hon. Abiodun Oyenuga and Big Fish, President of Tools & Hardware and his top officials.
The election cycle in Lagos International Trade Fair shows that In May, Africa Tyre Village held their election in which Chief Okey Ezeifeoma won. June, UASPDA held their election with Hon. Tony Bright as winner. Other elections lined up before the end of the year in no particualr order inlcude BBA, APT, and ASPMDA.
