MTN Nigeria has announced the commencement of its Y’ello Care, the company’s annual staff volunteer initiative returns in the country.
In a statement made available to Business Hilights.ng, MTN said “And this year feels different. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re extending the impact even further. For the first time, the initiative will run for 25 days, a simple but symbolic extension that reflects how much more we want to do, and how many more communities we hope to reach.
“From June 1 to June 25, under the theme, “Equitable Health for Every Community”, we’re expanding access to quality healthcare in underserved and remote communities. For many, access is still shaped by distance, cost, limited infrastructure, and a shortage of health workers, barriers that continue to affect women, children, and persons with disabilities the most.
“Through Y’ello Care, we’re rallying MTN staff across all our operating companies to respond in the most practical way we know how: showing up, giving time, and contributing to solutions where they’re needed most.
“Because beyond the programme itself, this is really about what we choose to do, collectively, with the reach and resources we have.
“The Y’ello Care opening ceremony will hold at our Rooftop Plaza in Lagos on Wednesday 3rd June, more details to come.
