All electoral logistics are receiving finishing touches ahead of the general election of the Association of Nigerian Tyre Marketers (ANTM), owners of Africa Tyre Village (ATV), Lagos International Trade Fair complex on Thursday.
In a telephone interview with the Vice President, Chief Okey Ezeifeoma, he revealed that “Everything is set for our 2026 general election at the Africa Tyre Village (ATV). We are happy that the current administration has done well in all her mandates to the good people of ATV and our numerous customers.
“Like our tradition, our elections have been free, fair and credible over the years and that of 2026 shall not be different because we are one big family where love and respect for everyone is key.
He advised members to turn-up early tomorrow as accreditation will start on time so that voting and counting shall be conducted with ease in line with our constitution.
Efforts to reach the outgoing president, Alhaji Isah Akanbi Mohammed failed as it was said that he is on leave.
A review of the achievements of the outgoing administration at ATV under Alhaji Mohammed showed massive growth and development of the association, steady peace in the plaza and order in the scheme of things throughout the tenure.
Further checks on the performance of Alhaji Mohammed showed influx of more international companies into the plaza due to his leadership simplicity and intelligence in working with members of the association.
Under Alhaji Mohammed administration, issues of substandard tyres were reduced to the barest minimum even as the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) did honour the administration as one of the best in tyre marketing in the country where there is no room for fake tyre products and any form of counterfeit or presence of second hand tyre products in the plaza.
